The previous operators of Movement Cafe in Sydney’s Marrickville have been hit with a $44,148 penalty in addition to back-pay orders after attending courtroom.
The cafe, run by MT Infinity Pty Ltd, was issued with a compliance discover by the Honest Work Ombudsman to back-pay two employees a complete of $14,148 in 2022.
The employees had been employed for 2 and a half years from 2019 and later requested help from the Ombudsman after they fashioned the idea they had been underpaid minimal wages and annual go away entitlements.
The employees weren’t back-payed by the cafe, which was run by sole operator Miah Golam Tareque on the time.
