Turkey: The Affiliation of Turkish Journey Companies (TÜRSAB) has filed a lawsuit looking for an entry ban on 10 international journey and reserving platforms, citing unfair competitors and unregulated exercise.

It’s looking for entry restrictions on Airbnb, Expedia, GetYourGuide, Viator, Isango, ToursByLocals, Agoda, Journey.com, Resorts.com and Musement.

In 2018, the same authorized problem by TÜRSAB led to a ban on Reserving.com’s operations in Turkey, a measure that continues to be in place.

In a press release, TÜRSAB stated the platforms function in Turkey with out correct registration, working licenses, or tax funds.

“International gross sales, advertising and marketing, promotion and reservation portals, working informally, with out establishing an organization in Türkiye and with out being topic to any guidelines, documentation, taxation or oversight, are dominating the market beneath the guise of shopper comfort,” TÜRSAB stated.
