The Metropolis’s spiciest cocktail bar is again! Hidden within the coronary heart of Devonshire Sq., simply moments from Liverpool Avenue, Anise has re-emerged following a top-to-toe transformation full with a putting new design.
Gifted Bar Supervisor, Piyush Gouchwal, has labored intently with world-renowned mixologist Ryan Chetiyawardana (aka Mr Lyan), and his group at Mr Lyan Studio, on an Indian-inspired cocktail record that completely pairs with Chef Vivek Singh’s playful menu of Indian bar bites.

The no-ABV creations are equally as spectacular, with a spread of advanced sips that match their spirited counterparts by way of depth and pleasure, from the herbaceous Saqi Bitter (Everleaf Forest & Marine aperitifs with fenugreek, coriander and elderflower) to the colourful Keralan Sundown (Lyre’s Italian Orange with watermelon, curry leaf and guava).
In signature Cinnamon type, Vivek has reimagined traditional snacks with daring Indian twists. The Mumbai chilli cheese toastie reinvents a comfort-food favorite with spice and aptitude, whereas standout small plates embody chilli shrimp cocktail vol-au-vents, tuna bhel tostadas, Kurkure hen winglets and a lamb seekh kebab roll, all designed to pack a punch with each chunk.
Working with designer Alessio Nardi of A-nrd Design Studio, the refurbished interiors pay homage to Devonshire Sq.’s historical past as a spice warehouse, with a heat palette of spice-inspired tones, uncooked terracotta, and Indian craft particulars set towards elegant inexperienced drapes. A dramatic central bar and plush cubicles create the proper retreat for after-work cocktails, late-night dates or weekend catchups.
