Casa Loma Seaside Resort | Laguna Seaside, California
Set on the cliffs of Laguna Seaside, Casa Loma Seaside Resort is a $15 million transformation of the lodge previously referred to as The Inn at Laguna Seaside. Marc & Rose Hospitality enlisted structure and inside design studio Electrical Bowery, graphic and branding agency LAND, and landscaping firm ORCA to create a bespoke lodge expertise that evokes the Mediterranean, coastal California, and the bohemian tradition of Laguna Seaside. “LAND was enlisted to make your entire lodge one giant immersive artwork expertise—from the foyer mural to the hand-painted canvas tapestries in choose guestrooms to the {custom} screen-printed and numbered framed authentic artworks,” defined John Grossman, president of Marc & Rose. “Each side of Casa Loma, together with the handcrafted wood furnishings and its classic foyer sound system, feels natural to the area and its environment, however exact in its placement and design.” For instance, the centerpiece of the foyer bar and lounge is a sculpted mural that depicts a sun-worshiping goddess, illuminated by mild from floor-to-ceiling home windows; the Pacific Terrace options custom-woven lounge chairs, raw-edge stools, and deep-seated poolside couches; and the guestroom design is influenced by the seascape and surfboard shapers. Casa Loma gives a European seaside F&B program that features objects similar to welcome drinks that includes Madre agave spirits, tapas-style bites, natural fruits, and artisanal cured meats. These visible and gustatory experiences are complemented by auditory ones: Marc & Rose put in classic, reconditioned audio system alongside a hi-fi reel-to-reel participant within the foyer with music curated by Uncanned, a agency specializing in soundscapes for hospitality.
