Worldwide: Designer Christian Louboutin has acquired a stake in hospitality firm Experimental Group, becoming a member of current shareholders Jean Moueix and Brookfield Asset Administration.
Via the private funding, Louboutin “seeks to affirm his ardour for journey, type and hospitality, which has all the time guided his skilled and private life”.
Alexis Dyèvre, who’s related to Louboutin within the furnishings producer Maison Gatti, can also be taking a minority stake in Experimental Group.
The funding comes as Experimental plans openings in Val d’Isère, Rome and Paris subsequent 12 months.
Olivier Bon, co-founder and companion of Experimental Group, stated: “Christian Louboutin’s entrepreneurial spirit matches the values of Experimental Group. His worldwide fame, multidisciplinary inventive collaborations, creativity and instinct might be invaluable property in supporting our growth.”
The Experimental Group now has 10 motels, situated in London, Paris, Ibiza, Biarritz, Verbier, Menorca, Venice and the Cotswolds.
The corporate made its US debut earlier in 2024 with the launch of wine bar La Compagnie des Vins Surnaturels Centre St in New York. The positioning joins three others in Paris and London.
Along with motels and wine bars, the group operates six Experimental Cocktail Membership bars in Paris, London, the Cotswolds, Venice, Verbier and New York, in addition to two seashore golf equipment, Experimental Seaside in Ibiza and Bijou Plage in Cannes.
